Every year, Grocery Outlet runs a month-long (or longer) food drive from June 24 through July 31 called Independence from Hunger.

Each Grocery Outlet selects a local organization to receive the food and monetary donations raised during the campaign. For the past few years, the Hollywood location has partnered with The Community for Positive Aging, and they’ve been wonderful to work with.

This year, their goal is $15,000—double what they raised last year. It’s an ambitious goal, but I believe we can reach it with the support of our community.
